Since 2019, Altodigital has supported Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust’s Time to Shine Awards. This sponsorship celebrates the NHS people and teams and demonstrates our commitment to supporting local organisations and their wider communities.
“The Altodigital team is proud that the financial support we provide helps make this celebration and recognition happen,” confirms Gavan Duffy, Group Public Sector Director. “It creates a sparkling event that is a true reflection of the appreciation that should be bestowed on these truly inspirational people and teams that work tirelessly and with passion in every part of the NHS Trust.”
“It’s an amazing, feel-good event that celebrates the values and unsung heroes of the Trust,” explains account manager, Charlotte Meeson. “It’s very emotional and it gives you a sense of the Trust as a whole, not just the nurses and doctors. Porters, volunteers, cleaners, fundraisers, administrators - it celebrates everybody within the Trust. The nominees attend the black-tie event in person. It’s a really lovely evening.”
After the pandemic, celebrating NHS heroes was more important than ever. The 2021 awards ceremony was organised as a virtual event, and the 2022 event was cancelled last minute amid rising covid cases. Rather than enjoying the black-tie event, the 2022 winners received the awards in their workplace as shown in this video, which also provides a privileged glimpse into the working lives of the winning teams and individuals.
The categories are broad, with the 2022 Time to Shine Awards reflecting The Leeds Way, the Trust’s vision to be the best for specialist and integrated care.
“The Leeds Way is who we are and what we believe. It defines how we work to deliver the best possible care and outcomes for our patients. The Leeds Way is about listening and being inclusive and taking on board the very best ideas out there.” Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Honouring the efforts of Trust staff demonstrates the bond and partnership that Altodigital has built with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust along with others around the country and reflects the Company’s drive to live their values.
“We build a strong relationship and feel like part of the team, with many Trusts having their own on site Altodigital engineers that become part of the Trust. Their faces are known around the Hospitals,” explains Charlotte.
Within healthcare, Altodigital has previously supported the United Lincolnshire Hospitals’ staff awards; Wirral University Teaching Hospital’s PROUD Awards; Southport and Ormskirk Hospital’s Pride Awards; and the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity’s Big LEGO Brick Hospital to raise money for a new specialist centre in Liverpool.
The 2023 Time to Shine Awards is scheduled to take place back at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. We’ll be dusting down our dinner jackets and best frocks to see more unsung heroes receive the recognition they deserve.
