Recycle your toners, make your business become more sustainable
You’re halfway through printing your documents when the printer signals the toner is empty and needs replacing. But what are you going to do with the empty toner cartridge?
In most workplaces, when a printer toner is empty they are thrown in the bin and destined for landfill. But with sustainability accelerating to be a key priority in the business world, your company can look at small ways to make a positive impact on the environment.
Every year millions of empty ink and toner cartridges are thrown away instead of being recycled. But as part of our sustainability programme at Altodigital, we can divert thousands of tons of supplies out of landfills and can support your businesses on your sustainability journey.
How to Recycle Toner Cartridges With a Managed Print Service?
Simply with the Xerox Eco Box.
The Xerox Green World Alliance is a valuable recycling programme that minimises the environmental impact of printer supplies and provides options when disposing of empty cartridges.
Xerox toners, as well as non-Xerox toners, can be recycled quickly and easily with the Xerox Eco Box. The Eco Box programme allows you to return your spent toner cartridges so we can recycle them for reuse.
View Xerox® Green World Alliance® Product Take-Back List for a full list of the cartridges that can be recycled.
We are committed to responsible and environmental business practices. When you run out of toner, we can take your spent cartridges and give them a new lease of life. We will clean, refill, test and send your toner either back to you or to another company.
You can even consolidate returns of five to 30 used supply items in a single box. This also contributes to a circular economy to create a world where electronics and supplies at the end of their useful life would come full circle to become the raw materials of tomorrow.
When recycling your spent toners with Eco Box you have two options depending on how many toner cartridges you need to return.
The two options for recycling spent toner cartridges are:
Eco Box Returns - If you have more than 5 items to return, we recommend the Xerox Eco Box option. Request delivery of empty eco boxes and/or request a pickup of full eco boxes.
Single-Item Returns - If you have 5 or less items to return, we recommend the bundled single-item return process. Use the original box to return genuine Xerox supplies.
When you replace your spent consumable, save the box the new consumable comes in. Place your spent consumable inside the box, then put that box into the Eco Box to return the spent supply item to us.
A Managed Print Service also embeds recycled toner into your wider print infrastructure. We reduce your energy expenditure by merging your printers, photocopiers and scanners into multi-function devices and install limits to make sure no unsanctioned printing takes place. With regulated -- and less -- use, we’ve enabled you to make your toner go further than ever before. Your scattergun printing strategy is no more and your organisation can now run on all (eco-friendly) cylinders.
Beyond recycling your toner as part of Altodigital's Managed Print Service, we’ve made sustainability a key part of our service offering. We refurbish older machines with modern, eco-friendly parts. Don’t panic, we recycle the parts we can’t save. We avoid landfill at all costs, sending the refurbished machines back out into the world as courtesy printers.
