Tim Hubbard, Group Business Development Director, is pleased to announce that he completed the Walk for Dreams on 16th February. He managed to walk the whole ten miles in three hours and raised £3,456.24 – almost double his target! - for Promise Dreams, a national charity that makes the wishes of children with terminal illness come true.
Tim Hubbard said: ‘I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated, kept me motivated and cheered me on. I was overwhelmed by the support I received from my colleagues, friends and family and I’m so pleased we managed to raise so much money for such an amazing charity.’
‘The event itself was absolutely brilliant. Almost 1,000 people from every age group attended and it had a wonderfully positive, family atmosphere. Around 20 of my friends and family members attended the event with came to the event and did the walk with me and their support was invaluable.
‘I would also like to say a special thank you to Mark Copson, CEO of MAC surfacing, who gave up VIP tickets for the F1 to do the walk with me. Without him and my brother, Lee, I would not have been able to get through the last 4 miles. By this point in the walk I had to use my crutches and I cannot tell you how hard it was, not just on my leg, but on my hands and arms as well.’
