Our Sales Manager in the South-West Daniel Till gave us his perspective on how Covid-19 has impacted the region and how Altodigital can help the roadmap to recovery.
Just before Christmas 2019 I sat in my office giving some thought on how to grow our business across the South-West in the year ahead.
Sadly and unbeknown to any of us, on the other side of the world an issue was arising that would throw all of our plans into absolute chaos.
As a Bristolian I love our region. The South-West is undeniably one of the most beautiful parts of the UK and of course has the very best people!
It has been devastating to see the impact this virus has had on businesses from the Colleges of Cornwall to the Grocers of Glastonbury. The tourism trade so vital to our local economy has been hit hard, with the beaches empty and the country on lockdown the hotspots of Devon & Cornwall will need time to recover.
In my own customer base we haven’t seen any larger companies cease trading, but there have been smaller businesses that have sadly gone under.
The entire outlook for remote and home-working across the region has been accelerated by several years. We all knew the concept of the “office space” would change in the near future but Covid-19 has seemingly moved this forward at a pace.
So, with print volumes through the floor (One customer went from 250,000 a month to 10,000) and companies facing uncertain futures, how can Altodigital help the South-West to recover?
