Pakeman Primary School is a national award winning school based in the London Borough of Islington that provides outstanding education to 2-11 year olds.
Having grown up around the corner, Altodigital’s CEO, James Abrahart, is a former pupil of Pakeman Primary School and holds the school close to his heart, thanks to the fond memories he left with.
On a visit to the school not long ago, James provided some football kits to the school as a gift. On this visit he also learned about the plans the school had for introducing a new artificial football pitch to the school grounds. James immediately wanted to get involved in helping make this possible for his old school, so along with Arsenal in the Community, provided the necessary funding to allow the school to carry out the project.
Talking about helping fund the project James said, “I love sport and the positive effect it can have on young people, so being able to help an inner-city school like Pakeman provide more sporting opportunities to its pupils was something I really wanted to get involved with.”
Following the recent completion of the project, James was able to visit the school again to officially unveil the new pitch (with the help of Arsenal Mascot, Gunnersaurus), see pictures below. You can also read more about it in a recent article in The Islington Tribune.
