Altodigital has secured a highly coveted position of the Procurement for Housing (PfH) procurement consortium to supply optimised print solutions to housing associations and local authorities across the country.
PfH is a purchasing consortium that serves 800 of the UK’s 3,000 housing associations. It was formed in 2004 out of a desire to provide local housing authorities with ‘best practice’ around the procurement of supplies and services and to drive value locally. The consortium consists of officially vetted organisations across 27 framework areas, supplying everything from mobile phones to building materials, with the aim of making it easier for suppliers and members to do business.
Altodigital originally tendered for and won a three-year contract on the framework in 2009.
Upon hearing of the renewal, Andy Hargreaves commented: “The renewal of our contract is testament to the hard work and expertise that we have thus far demonstrated. Fully understanding the desires of housing associations to reduce costs, improve service delivery and lighten the burden of maintaining their printing fleet. The support we will give PfH will provide best value at all touch points to encourage growth in the housing sector.
“The benefits of the consortium are clear both for members and suppliers. All suppliers on the framework have been through extensive vetting and scored against a set of criteria. The tender process involves real housing officers with real experience in the field. In addition, all prices are fixed, making it easier for housing associations to manage their budgets, and billing is centralised, providing full transparency of spending.”
